Do me a favor.
Dear MediaCorp,
Though I’ve already given up hope on Channel 8, recently the 9PM slot on weekdays has proved to be more than interesting, as compared with the usual I-can-almost-predict-the-ending family-quarrels-and-patch-back sitcoms. Perhaps I’m starting to like the idea of watching a blind girl on scene ever since “Sad Love Story“, I don’t know. Still, keep up the good work and the great choice of new actress. Boy, do I love her.
As a (read: current) faithful and loyal viewer, here’s my plea that this story won’t end with Wu Ming dying and then as a result (somehow) blessing Ah Li with some heartfelt bright stars that she’s been wanting to see, please. Or some magical out-of-nowhere endings that don’t make sense.
I’ll prefer the usual “live happily ever after” finale because the blind girl is already sad enough to be blind, and now you want her to lose someone she trusts most is just too cruel… to me her.
I know there’s nothing you can do now because it’s been filmed and all, and nothing I can do as a viewer (except to whine like a bitch) but let’s hope my said magical endings don’t happen for I’ll be very disappointed ’cause I’ve been faithfully catching every single little episode. Please excite me with a (possibly new) happy ending — why, everybody loves happy ending, even if it’s too cliche!
I look forward to the finale now, and see if it’s been a worthwhile journey. Enlighten me that I’ve been wrong to forsake Channel 8 in hopes of new entertainment.
Regards,
draco
