Early morning 7AM…

Thursday morning. Not exactly a special day or something. 15 days right after my first pox was discovered, and it is still there, although it has now taken the form of a scab, ready to be jettisoned once it has served its purpose - that is healing the pox wound.

I’ve just seen fleets of primary school students being accompanied by their parents or guardians to school. You see I live beside a school for almost all my life and yet this could probably be the few times I’ve seen this.

When I was in primary school, I went to school almost late everyday since I lived so near, and I didn’t get to see the many people who were making their ways to the school. Going into secondary school life only made it worse. I had to wake up at 6AM and be on the bus to school by 630AM, when the primary school students only made their ways to school at around 7AM.

What about holidays? Didn’t help much. Either I sleep at 2-3AM and wake up at 1-2PM, or I don’t sleep till 6AM and wake up at 4-5PM the next day. Both skip the 7AM slot. And recently I didn’t bother about leaving my room , not to mention seeing those students go to school.

Today it was raining. Heavy downpour and it was exceptionally noisy as those people hurried across the playground to get shelters under the void decks of the building across mine. I was attracted by it when making my way to the kitchen. Well, those were the days when my parents would send me to school, and then hurry to get me off my slippers that I wore and change into canvas shoes, which was kept in another plastic bag so I didn’t have to wear wet shoes during lessons. Cool isn’t it? I used to find it troublesome. Now I find wet shoes a pain in the ass to wear for lessons. Oh, and so I guess that was why there were so many adults accompanying their kids to school today.

Now that doesn’t happen already, and not that I want since I would get alot of jestings if that happens, but simply ’cause I like the feeling of being sent to school, I guess. That happened till I was in primary four. I was claimed to be independant enough after that. Well, my parents have busy schedules too. So now I wear slippers to school almost everyday, no changing to canvas no more.

Amazing how much flashed through my mind with that few minutes of witnessing students going to school. I think too much I guess, but these are memories. Sweet ol’ memories, worth remembering. And this is how a blog is utilised I guess.?

No, damn, I think I need a diary more.
