Wonderful trip to the clinics…
It’s a sad thing that the clinic I frequent whenever I’m sick, which is ran by Dr. Sim, is closed till 1st of January 2005. It could mean alot of things, of which most importantly means I can’t get my medicine that I’m used to.
This morning I made a wasted trip to that clinic to find out that it was closed, and I went home thinking that I would have to go to school because I don’t have a MC. When I was home, I decided to visit another doctor that my family always go to.
Anyway it was bad experience, or maybe it was just me being picky. But I had seen worse. There was someone coming into the clinic for registration, and then the nurse told him that it wasn’t Dr. Tan today, and he almost left because of that! Does that mean the doctor on duty today wasn’t good at all? God bless.
As for me, I waited an hour for 6 patients. I think I waited this long before in Dr. Sim’s clinic, but I have no idea why it seemed so long this time, maybe because I wasn’t used to this clinic’s environment. Anyway, as the hour passed, I felt my fever was back and thanks to the natural wind and artificial wind from the many ceiling fans, I was freezing my ass off and goosebumps erupted through the skin!
Just as I was thinking “this is it, I’m going to die of coldness”, the counter flashed my queue number and I rushed in for my consultation. And I finally understood why every consultation by the other patients took so long - the doctor checked my heart beat as though I was some sort of aliens with weird pulse rates… for almost 1 minute! Dr. Sim would only check 2-3 times before deciding if I had phlegms or funny illnesses.
And the worse came as I retrieved my medicine from the cashier counter… Among the usual medicines, the lozenges for sore throat issued were just simple white tablets… NO MORE BLACKCURRENT LOZENGES! I can’t believe it. Dr. Sim’s blackcurrent lozenges always made me want more, it’d became an addiction really. Crap, why must Dr. Sim go on holiday or something? And I have to fall sick during this period of time… *sighs*
Well, in the end I got my MC and that’s my ultimate goal anyway. And in case you think I’m doing these solely for a MC, I’m really sick mind you.
