Today is the last day of every year. And this year, it is a special year, not only for me, but I’m sure it is for many other individuals too.
Today marks the end of Singaporean’s freedom of downloading files which are copyrighted such as MP3 or warez as they would be charged according to the new law implemented on 1st Jan 2005. This shocked many MP3 whores, including me, as MP3 channels in GalaxyNet are closed down one by one…
Today also marks the end of a leap year! It might not mean much for you or me, but for those born on 29 Feb 2004, congratulation you’re a year older already! :-)
Today could be a special day for somebody else, if it’s their anniversary, or birthday.
But today is going to be gone, and tomorrow will come. And tomorrow is unique this time, it signifies a new year too, unlike the usual “new day”.
And a new year would usually come along with a new year resolution. What’s mine? I don’t know. The resolution I made for myself for 2004 didn’t work out right, so should I be bothered with actually doing one for 2005?
Of course. It’s a goal in life, and I had mine set in the mind already. :-) Whether it’s going to be fulfilled or not, I don’t know, but I think it’s going to be a good year.
At any rate, if you think you had a bad year; remember, things can get worse. Cheer up, life goes on.
Though my new year is 8 hours later than London, I’m still ahead of some countries, so here’s my happy new year to you!
