A Series of Unfortunate Events

Finally managed to catch A Series of Unfortunate Events in the cinema straight after the KTV session today.

Like always, I think it’s a very nice show and that it’s beyond my vocabulary to do this “niceness” justice. All I can say is that, it has a beginning, and an ending, with great character-buildings in the story. Of course you might think like, d’oh, what doesn’t?, but you’ll be amazed there are alot of shows out there without these. I’m not about to name any, can’t stand being sued for slander at any rate.

But that’s beside the point. This show keeps the audience (well, at least it kept me) going, with some comical moments by Jim Carrey who acted as many roles in the show to swindle the orphans’ inherited fortune. It tells you how unfortunate people can be, though almost of all the unfortunate events could only happen in fantasy.

The best part about the show is that towards the end of the show, the orphans received a long-due letter from their parents and the content was kind of touching and it summed up the entire show in some ways. It would even teach you some morales about humans. Now, how nice is that for your money?

With all that being said, you just have to watch it to know it. But hey, if you don’t think it’s worth your money to watch it, then don’t; I’m not responsible for your loss if you don’t enjoy it - it would only just be an unfortunate waste of your bucks. You have been warned.

Oh yeah, the youngest sister has the same name as I do, I mean wow.
