CSS make-over of my school site.

For a while I had been working on conversions of table-based designs to CSS-styled ones, trying to show how beneficial CSS designs can be, with my very limited CSS knowledge. And I am guessing my first attempt shouldn’t have been my school website which uses a 3-column, fixed center, and fluid sides layout. And the output seems to be an almost complete failure.

I have been using 2 technics, one which allows a footer but would screw the left column if minimised too small or under small resolutions, and another which would allow nice left and right minimising but would have a screwed up footer.

They’re done for viewing in Mozilla Firefox — so don’t expect it to even work in Internet Explorer. Well, I tried, they don’t.

I can’t decide and I’m out of my wits to get anything done anymore. I guess it’s beyond me for a while and I should start on something simpler instead of this. I’m just posting this incomplete work to see if I’m lucky to have some CSS professionals visiting my blog and hopefully he would leave some comments and tell me how I should go about doing it — I could be wrong all the way.

So for now, this project would be stuck there till further notices. I’m moving on to attempt other more simple sites — needs practices to make them viewable in both IE and Firefox at the very least.
