Wish came true — Jerry Maguire
Seems like I’m having a couple of wishes coming true these days. First it was the ending theme from an anime movie Spirited Away and now it’s a movie that I had always liked, and still do — Jerry Maguire.
Jerry Maguire used to be a typical sports agent: willing to do just about anything he could to get the biggest possible contracts for his clients, plus a nice commission for himself. Then, one day, he suddenly has second thoughts about what he’s really doing. When he voices these doubts, he ends up losing his job and all of his clients, save Rod Tidwell, an egomaniacal football player. Can Jerry resurrect his career while still staying true to himself?
It’s a pretty cool romance show that has all the friendship, success and love in it… as far as I’m concerned. My sister happened to chance upon the VCD while she was shopping around and then phoned home to see if I would like to have it, which I promptly agreed without further hesistation. And I’m not regretting my decision, no luck.
And I just watched it again, a show with a simple yet rich content. Though it was filmed in 1997 but I had liked it since then and I don’t think there’re many shows that can match up to it… at least not that I know of. And I can’t stop telling you how much I really like this show — I can go on forever saying so! But fret not, I’m not going to. It’s up to you to like it or not, anyway. :)
Now that leaves me wondering what’s next on the wish-list to be fulfilled. ;)
