Before I forget again…
I had intended to include a very good speech from the show Coach Carter in my earlier post but I didn’t know exactly what was said and then finally learnt it from my friend.
But I forgot to post an update! Till moments ago when I was reading a friend’s blog, and then realised I didn’t do so! Typical of me, I guess.
And before I forget again, here is what was said by a player when his coach (as in Coach Carter himself) asked him what his greatest fear was.
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our dark that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people don’t feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine as children do. Its not just in some of us; its in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsiously give other people to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
That’s so very enlightening, whether you get it or not.
