DotA frenzy!
Just 1 hour ago, I had one of the most wonderful and enjoyable session of DotA v5.84c, if not the best.
Although someone was using the hero Medusa which was superbly (and unbalancely) overpowered with the items that made him so godly, it was an eye-opener to see such godlike combinations of items. It didn’t occur to me to take a screenshot, but if you are a DotA-er like I am, you should know these items spell dooms if put together on the overly-unbalanced Medusa in 5.84 :
- Divine Rapier
- The Butterfly
- Aegis of the Immortal
- Burize-do Kyanon
And so his damage bonus was +411, doing critical strike of 1028 damage on creeps. Godly farmer. If you care, check out the item recipes page for 5.84c to see what these items do. It’s comforting to know that they nerfed it in version 6.0x. ;)
And what makes the game enjoyable and wonderful is that, we won it despite having superpower heroes on the opposition team. It was a 5v5 at first, but one from each side eventually lagged out and it ended up with a 4v4. That game took 2 1/2 hours to complete with all heroes maxing out level 25 and that was when team work kicked in — the four of us had to work together to destroy that Medusa; deplete her mana in order to disable her mana shield and then kill her four times to use out the resurrection ability on Aegis of the Immortal so when she finally dies the fifth time, her Divine Rapier will drop, reducing her power by 250 damage!
Too much details? I just wanted to emphasis that our team work was superb and that’s what DotA is really about — teamwork.
And we had several laughing moments in the game when things got rather exciting. Here’s one.
3 victims went into the mines laid by my team work, and then it all ended when my friend ignited them. They died innocently and were like “WTF??“! But I failed to capture the screenshot of it; it was just too hilarious. Oh and in the unlikely event that your name is in this screenshot and you read my blog, and you don’t like it, just leave me a note through the comment or e-mail. ;)
And not forgetting a screenshot of my ending equipment! Not godly, just that I completed the choice I took in what items I wanted to get. ;)

Great, maybe I could go for another game or two, or watch my VCDs again. Man, I feel empty after I completed the serial Chronicles of the Heavenly Dragon. I guess it’s normal because I always feel this way after finishing a nice show, just like I did when I finished Lord of the Ring trilogy.
