Oh, and why I went MIA.

One of the main reasons I decided to go MIA was because of my monitor’s condition as highlighted in Eric’s post. When it first started going cranky, it would minimise to some cute shapey figure and it usually took a few knocks on the device to get it back in shape. After a few weeks of being so, now it has changed and I have no idea if it’s for the better or worse — it’s now stretched all the way horizontally.

So I don’t get to see the start button or the system tray all day long. I have to minimise all the windows for them to stay focus at the center of the screen so I have access to them. And the screen is shaped with the middle being the most narrow and the top & bottom the widest, like an hourglass.

All my abilities to program, design, and game are thereby crippled. What’s left is the ability to just chat. Web surfing becomes a pain in the ass when you can’t see the site completely horizontally — you don’t get to scroll because it’s the screen that’s projected out of the monitor’s width, not the browser.

And that made me feel like giving up some computer stuffs, at least for a while till I get a new monitor. Which concludes why I put up the MIA message.

But not long after I decided to do so, I realised I could probably do my computer stuffs in school lab. I don’t get to play games, but the others can be done — surfing, designs and all. And so here I am, in the school lab posting this entry. ;)

As for the other main reasons, I have no wish to say anything more, at least not now. Let this be a good enough reason to satisfy your curiosity, if any.

So technically, I’m back. Officially, no.
