Really sick now.

Great, after draco posted an entry about the bogus illness that’s termed webular standarditis a few days back, he’s now genuinely sick. (yea, I heard the cheers.)

It started 3 days back when he somehow managed to figure that he would be expecting a sore throat soon. So the next morning, which was Sunday, he went to the family doctor to get his favourite black currant sucking lozenges for the throat! The one that he is always so crazy about whenever he pays that doctor a visit.

But he didn’t go for consultation — he was too good for that or so he thought. Mighty draco didn’t think sore throat could kill him, he thought he knew his conditions well. When he arrived at the clinic, he merely asked for repeated medication of my choice; which by the way was obviously the black currant lozenges.

Back home, he soon discovered a little fever was developing due to inflammation of his sore throat; body temperature was rising to a peak of 38.2c! Now that’s really very uncomfortable if you consider the fact that a normal human’s “acceptable temperature” is about 37.3c. That’s like 1c overshot and trust me it can kill if left unattended. So please don’t try this at home, if you are having such symptons of fever, approach a trained doctor as soon as possible; never attempt medication on your own — you’re not draco.

But draco wasn’t ready to be defeated just yet. Searching through his very own medical box that he had collected of his unfinished prescription, he found the common fever pills and dunked it into his mouth without any hesistation. And he settled the fever issue, at least for then.

For no reasons, everyone else seemed to think that draco was very sick. And some still think so. But this is for sure that he is not very sick, he’s just sick. While he can maintain usual routine, the illness has served to indirectly +20 effects to his laziness attribute — now he’s super duper lazy as opposed to his usual super lazy.

Don’t think there’s a vast difference even with the added duper laziness? Say, if you want him to think or help you with something, now he can officially reject you by saying, “You don’t know how much I would love to help you, but I can’t, because I’m not feeling well enough to do so… I’m sorry.” and very often he would wish to add on “and there’s nothing you can do about it so stfu and stop asking.”, but he never did because being sick doesn’t reduce his courtesy attribute.

And as much as he really hates to disclose his dark little secret, he shall do so because this is his blog and he feels the need to share with his readers that he can (finally) skip outings officially without any guilt or remorse. He can take it for granted that it is no longer compulsory for him to attend outings because he is sick because he should needs to go home and recuperate. And that’s one of the real advantages of feigning being sick. Besides, when he’s sick, some people just care more about him and though he doesn’t say so, trust me that he absolutely loves the attention. (hints) ;)

Phew, almost missed out the fact that he gets to sleep more because he’s recuperating. :) No one can stop him now for any reason now.

And no, the fever didn’t burn his brain and he’s not retarded (enough) to think that being sick is enjoyable. It’s just some truth that he discovered over the years that he had lived through being sick. And to him, the only real disadvantage of being sick is that he will have to miss out the good food, often in disguise of oily fried crispy forms. So tell me, how can anything else be more unfortunate than this?

*sighs*

PS : I find writing as a third party more interesting when narrating some stories. A little act-cute maybe, but who cares? Hey I’m sick! So I shall do it more often now.

No, draco thought of that postscript; not me.
