What are they thinking?
I seldom complain about services, because I do understand that in every job there’re ups and downs and it’s only human to err. And this is only because I had worked once to finally understand how much it means if someone you had unintentionally offended by your mistake decides to let go of the matter with an understanding heart.
That said, so by no means am I a spoilt brat who couldn’t stand any delays in services or whatsover. But what I observed around an hour ago was utterly disturbing.
I was waiting at my school bus stop, and I was at the first one that any incoming bus would reach first before going on to the other two that my school campus has. And the only bus that could send me home without the extra 2.5x charges(hint 518) was service no. 8. Apparently it has to travel a long way from Toa Payoh to Tampines and pass through many business working areas. And during the peak hours that it was an hour ago, I perfectly understand the slowdowns.
Until 9 bus service no. 69 passed. And most of them were 60% empty seats.
At the 40th minutes, after seeing the second bus service no. 8 fully packed to the door and seeing a friend, I finally decided to give up and take a bus so I could change a bus at another bus stop. That stopped my 40 minutes wait.
And theorically that’s 7 bus service no. 69 to 1 bus service. no 8. What are the people at the bus company thinking? no. 69 takes such a short route and they have to make the journeys more frequently than they do with bus service. no 8, especially at the peak hours? Interesting. And they couldn’t arrange it so that at least we get a double-decker bus out of the twos.
So much for the raise in trip fares for better services. Great, I’ll now go sit on my pig so it can take me flying.
