Minority Report, and E.T.

E.T., and Minority Report, another two movies among many others that Steven Spielberg had directed. As usual, nothing but full of compliments for his films.

Minority Report sports a very nice storyline that left no doubts or wonders about why certain things happened, and of course a whole lot of mysteries throughout the entire show. Most of the stories that Steven Spielberg used/edited to make a film have unexpected endings and you can never guess the ending until the final minute; and that’s good because I won’t be bored at any time of the movie’s duration.

E.T.’s plot was straightforward with the flavour of aliens in the show. At least it brought our some excitement from within me when the children were escaping from the government members just to send the E.T. to the spaceship; and it left me feeling a little sad at the ending. How cool is that?

Steven Spielberg seems to like having high-tech gadgets or futuristic creatures or wonderful sci-fi technologies in his shows. First Jurassic Park with the great idea of using blood from mosquitoes dead from millions of years, and then A.I. with the robots (mecha) idea and then Minority Report too. The latest movie like War of the Worlds also involved aliens and their high-tech robots that they used to destroy mankind. And all of these futuristic ideas are explained thoroughly and all these explanations made them so real — as though we would really be having them in the future.

Besides, Steven Spielberg didn’t have to rely on romance in his shows for blockbuster records. And for that I salute him. Just think of how many movies nowadays have sex, couples making out and dating included in the stories and you will know why Steven Spielberg’s shows stand out. Sarah and Ian in JP2 doesn’t count because they were already a couple and that’s all that was mentioned, with no making out and stuffs.

Nice one, Steven! (though most likely he wouldn’t be reading this, o well.) He leaves me wanting more of his films. :) More, more, more. (chants)
