The one with the Birthday.
Happy birthday to me,
Happy birthday to me,
Happy birthday to myself,
Happy birthday to me.
So if you hadn’t already realised from my previous posts that my birthday falls on 14 August annually, now you do. And you would better do something about it next year: buy a present, or send some wishings — sincerity counts!
The Gift
That said, though I didn’t receive as many gifts as I used to as when I was a kid, one of them was especially cool(and yes, I like every other one I received!), a jigsaw puzzle set that’s almost similar to the one I like alot… except that the gang is featured in the front view instead of the backview… which is really the downside of this gift, but I still like it very much!
So here’s my official thanks to whoever contributed to the gift that I hadn’t already done so! :)
This is the jigsaw set.
And this, the picture that I’m so obsessed with.
And did I mention it’s a glow-in-the-dark piece? Well, yes it is. Be very jealous!
The Thoughts
Although birthday is a joyous occasion, but most of the times I can’t help feeling remorseful that I usually don’t get a birthday present for my friends, except that maybe I’ll chip in to a mega-present; but that’s about it — I don’t do one-to-one thingy.
So whenever I receive a gift on my birthday, I’ll feel indebted to whoever was involved… but I hope this feeling will go away soon. History has shown that it always did. ;)
The MSN group
Interesting that most of the people that I’m not currently very close with actually knew about my birthday through my MSN when the August babies in my circle of friends changed their MSN nicks to “August Soldier (day of birth)”. So no doubt it shows that MSN is indeed a very effective marketing place.
Oh, thanks for paying attention and remembering. :)
The mobile group
And to those who relied on mobile devices to remember to wish me, thank your device on my behalf, because without it, I’ll never be getting any wishes from you. ;) Oh, and thank you too.
This calls for a business proposal! I should start working on some software that does auto-birthday-wishing! All anyone has to do is to key in the birthday and the dedicated (or shared/common) wish message, set the time-delay after 0000hr to send the message so it will feel like it’s not automated, and ignore. Then it’s back to the software to send the greetings when the time is here.
And the best thing about this software is that the records won’t be marked on the calendar so all you act-so-sincere-about-birthdays won’t be exposed and can go on acting as if you really cared!
Now says who that I’m not business-minded?
The WishWishes
World peace.
And all other wishes fulfilled. Somehow. Please.
