Heavy downpour in Tampines.
Wow, in this bad thunderstorm I braved through wearing my trusty and very slippery slippers in N2(block 201 there) to get a packet of nasi lemak in order to sustain life, wading through beyond ankle-deep water all round thus becoming the second major flood that I’ve been to, the first being knee-thigh deep, and yes in Singapore.
I’m amazed that the sudden downpour could cause the flood and it was already ankle-deep when I last seen it, and I believe it would get worse because the rain is still falling. Too bad I didn’t have a camera to capture the sights of the people wading through and water gushing out of the drains instead of into them.
Because of the structure of the area, the lower parts of the marketplace is more affected as water flows downwards, and that’s where the ankle-deep water was seen.
And for 19 years of my life, I didn’t know a thunderstorm could cause a flood here in Tampines.
