The loss of my water bottles (again!)
My previous bottle (the green WanYang) was lost in the toilet when I forgot to take along with me when I exited. And when I realised I’d already gone through the MRT control station and was running late for an appointment so I let it go.
That bottle had lots of memories with me — I once risked my life to save it from plunging to its death from the third level of my school’s concourse. And only those who’d witnessed the entire incident would understand the attachment I had for the bottle for no words can do the job.
The love.
That was the past and now just today I have had a more ordinary one that can contain 600 ml of water (and wow that’s like 100ml for than the more ordinary ones! godly!). I swear by it because I think I have a gigantic needs for water so that 100ml is a bonus I needed alot. But except for the additional 100ml, it’s really just a normal mineral water bottle.
Unlike other days when it was in the bag, I carried it to school today and actually forgot to take it when I left. History repeated itself except that I had the luxury to go back and retrieve it when I discovered my carelessness during lunch.
So naturally, I went back to the room only to find it locked. I could feel it crying out for me as I peered through the little window at the door. Ah, so near yet so far.
Anyway, time for a new bottle, time to be less forgetful and perhaps time to be less attached to something that’s inanimate!
