I’m back!
Recently, if you had happened to mail me, you would have received the following auto-response from my GMail:
I’ve been taken offline. Which means to say I’ll only be able to read mails as and when I can afford the connectivity, so till then as I await the day my Internet is back online again.
And then I shall resume my regular mail readings. Meanwhile, if you need to contact me urgently, please send me a SMS or call my cell.
But as of time of writing, it’s no longer applicable and I am now able to once again embrace the Internet after being disconnected for almost a week.
Since then, I’ve cleared up almost 8 gigabytes of disk space after burning the content into discs, a process which would never happen had I not been online and nothing else better to do. And then I defragmented the 4 partitions I have that took well over 2 nights because it’s been ages since such maintenance last happened.
I have also completed alpha one of my long-due graffiti (aka shoutbox) php codes using the local http and mySQL servers. Again, something that would have taken a while longer if not for the Internet downtime. (In fact, this little scriptlet had remained stagnant for well over a year.) More about this when I finally bring it up live.
Besides, the real development progress of V4 dumpsite has officially begun some day this week. The layout on paper is done, more will follow I’m so sure. Hang on tight!
I’ve also realised though I felt bored without the Internet, I can live without the Internet unlike what’s been rumoured. Now I know. And trust me it’s a very important discovery, you have no idea. I wonder if this fact makes me any less geeky.
So, according to the serviceman who’s just left, something in the main line control center went bonkers and my service was affected. That was all he mentioned sadly except that it’s now fixed or else I wouldn’t be here blogging about it.
Okay, now time to bring my new toy up and to upload the over 150MB of files for my friends. (Read: no warez or porns! Just movie files I’ve taken with my phone!)
