Get a license to have a baby, man.
I have read so much about the movie “I Not Stupid Too” that it makes me ponder about some issues.
In all seriousness, it’s interesting if you think about the following issue.
The government decided that we’ll need to go for lessons, take written tests, then go for more lessons, before taking the final practical test that determines if we’re capable of handling a vehicle on the road, alongside many others. And if we’ve proved our ability, we’ll then hold a certain amount of points which are to be deducted when we commit a mistake, only to ultimately suspend our license to go on the road again (legally) should the points be exhausted.
All in a somewhat successful (because accidents still happen) effort to reduce road accidents. And boy is the effort well thought of.
In a similar fashion, it makes me wonder why shouldn’t we need a license for having a baby lest s/he should become a bad influence in future? Besides, I suspect this delinquent won’t do any lesser damage than someone who would do reckless driving; and in fact s/he could be the one causing such accidents.
So why isn’t the government doing anything about this? Is it the parents’ fault for not providing proper up-bringing, or is it that these children are born evil? It’s not that unreasonable to say that it’s the former for the latter is way too far-fetched. Perhaps it’s really the teachers’ fault, like how most parents would always point fingers at.
Ultimately, I would like to believe it’s the parents’ faults. If they had instilled proper manners and interests, their boys and girls wouldn’t have the guts to go against them. Stop spoiling your children young adults. But who am I to bother, really. My children in future could be another generation of ill-bred for all I know.
Just wonderin’.
