Not simply an outing.

Spent a great day at Mount Faber yesterday, which was preceded by an oversea trip to Sentosa beach to chill out big time — an official excuse for a break away from all the never-ending programming and stuffs.

So while the rest of the gang were busy with their own things (such as accompanying the dog or visiting 7-11s to buy food or burying everyone else’s slippers), Eric and I spent much of the day doing feeble attempts to ride the waves. And more often than not, the opposite happened.

Top highlights of the day, Peter looking for his lost slippers which was very much the sole effort of Adeline’s solo treasure hunt while Philbert posed for the shot and Eric, post-Russell-Petter’s claim, admitted to being an asshole and was pretty proud to be one.

Anyway I suspected that Eric was high on drug as he once again volunteered to be in the highlights for a buried role when we were becoming too bored. I wonder what kind of damage that sand would do to my sensitive skins should I be the one to be buried instead. By the way, pretty humps eh?

As I was too engrossed with the water and the bikini babes having fun with my friends, I did not have the chance to take photographs of us having fun and here’s my apologies. But what I did have the chance to take were some rather interesting ones, the kind that I’m highly interested in: dusk.

I know most are not very magnificient, but at least I tried!

And on a side note, Nikey had conquered his fears of water after much encouragement from Eric who himself is afraid of water, the irony. Perhaps only Eric understood fully how Nikey could have felt and acted accordingly, how sweet. Here’s the vid:

Later on, we paced to the Musical Fountain only to find that we’d missed the 7:40PM session. Damn. But fret not, there was a second and last performance scheduled an hour later, so we made our way to get our stomaches filled. Apparently the tour guide, Peter, hadn’t been updating his database of the food places in the area as he mentioned 2 places to eat that didn’t exist no more. And the second time he mistook an ice-cream shop for a food court! Way to go Peter.

And it was Musical Fountain time. Words can’t describe what I’d seen so I had recorded them in action.

No wonder it’s one of the tourist’s attraction of Singapore — it’s just too cool, really.

Next on the list, we’d decided to pay Mount Faber a visit to see stars. But when we were there, we saw more couples than stars.

View from Mount Faber Another view from Mount Faber

Just managed 2 miserable shots from the top of Mount Faber looking down at Jakarta across the sea. It was a refreshing feeling but not exactly a great place for star-gazing for the lights they planted on the floor to point where each direction would overlook, and the trees.

Anyway much of the time up there was spent with Binglin discussing about inter-galactic issues, like aliens, human and stars. Not really a romantic topic I know, but we’ve gotta admit between 2 guys, that’s the coolest topic we can talk about on the peak of a hill looking at stars and humanity, somehow.

Then it ended for me as we got back into Xiaoye’s car and started cruising our way downhill and out of the place and back home. This is just one trip that I find a need to blog about and have a record in my “down memory lane” because it’s way too cool in a special way.

And you couples, grab a chance, go Mount Faber and chill out: it has a very romantic ambience.

(Fact of the day: I previewed this post like 200 times before actually publishing it.)
