So Blink 182 disbanded with the announcement “indefinite hiatus” which pretty much upset me as no band that I’d supported ever lasted (think: Savage Garden, The Moffatts, Blink 182, etc). Or maybe it’s just normal that all bands have a finite life span, oh well.

Now Tom DeLonge(ex-vocalist/guitarist for Blink 182) has started a new band “Angels and Airwaves” with former Hazen Street and Box Car Racer guitarist David Kennedy, ex-Distillers bassist Ryan Sinn and Offspring drummer Atom Willard.

Their debut album “We Don’t Need to Whisper” is finally out. I haven’t heard all of their songs yet, but the ones that I’ve are great. Most of them have a common trait — a longer-than-most-other-songs music introductions which totally own.
