An seemingly obligatory new year post!
Resolution and the likes
Well, it seems like compulsory for every other blogger and his/her dog to have a post that mentions what his/her resolution for the new year will be. But since I’m still working on the same ol’ “I want to be a better person”-kinda resolutions set half a dozen year ago, I’ll hop onto the bandwagon with just a list of material tasks I would love to see done before 2008 arrives in a jiffy instead.
Without further ado, here goes the (to-be-updated later) list (in no order of priority):
- Learn Kanon on the piano. (surprise surprise) Yea it gets a little old I know but this year I am definitely going to do it by hook or crook. Besides I’ve already found my (and not forgetting free) piano teacher who seems to know her stuffs! And good luck to her for being willing to teach someone with no prior knowledge of the aforementioned instrument.
- Re-design this website from scratch. Might not be nicer, but definitely a needed change. About time, no?
- Completed the 3 never-ending stories that I’d started a while back. Damned Ego decides they still aren’t good enough to be read by anyone other than me (and since Ego is almost always right, I abide!).
- And dare I say, procrastinate no more and actually start being bothered with getting things done. Stop being lazy for fuck’s sake.
From previous experience, I believe this 4 items are enough to keep me occupied for the entire year and possibly the next too because I’m an expert at procrastinating — I’ll procrastinate procrastinating no more, and the vicious cycle goes on…
Still I’ll do my best to get these done… hopefully it’ll show the way to a clean start from my old lazy self. And then perhaps I can start on a new list of resolution in the year 2008. :-)
